Current algorithmic decision-making is not as sophisticated as feared (e.g., Cambridge Analytica and Facebook's role in Brexit); however, risks of algorithmic manipulation do exist and require some regulation, though overly strong regulation creates the problem of asking 'who controls the regulator?'
