Analysts argue that China has a historical pattern of allowing industry leaders in a field to expend enormous resources to establish that lead, then following closely behind at much lower cost, and China can replicate SpaceX's success by studying the 10-year roadmap the US government created by supporting SpaceX, effectively rewinding 10 years and learning from a proven template.
