Canada is an energy superpower with the third-largest hydrocarbon base in the world, major oil and gas production, hydropower, nuclear technology, and enormous resources coast to coast; there's no reason Canadian citizens shouldn't be amongst the world's wealthiest, yet they are struggling deeply.
