Analysis of 13 million blog posts using semantic analysis of 'I feel' and 'I am feeling' phrases reveals a distinctive emotional development arc: ages 12-14 show limited emotional vocabulary, ages 15-18 show high anxiety and angst, ages 18-20 show feelings of confinement and not knowing oneself, ages 22-24 prioritize money/power/status, ages 30+ gradually shift toward balance, and ages 35+ increasingly focus on children and connectedness.
