“for me there have been three in the last show you how fast three in the last um four months the first was a product from Google called notebook LM and if you haven't played with it um just enter into Google the search the search query notebook Alm not human and listen to it you'll see what I why why it was so profound the next one was a product from open AI called 01 followed by o03 they skipped O2 because there's a Stadium named after O2 and what it does is it shows you planning it can actually show you how it's making decisions and then the big event that Craig mentioned was the release of this thing called Deep seek and deep seek has royed the industry Because deep seek uh is first open source which means you can read it they published their algorithms which the other guys have not they claim to have done the training with 12th of the cost and their serving cost is roughly a hundredth and that's Chinese and that's from China right”

including myself who believe that within the next few years we will have emergent two categories of AIS that are superhuman the first is in math and the second one is in programming the technical read your book they will be a better human being oh that's a layup by the way question you have to think about that you have to think about that the correct answer is yes so what is your next book going to be on I don't know that I'll write one this was my first one was Henry's 22nd what was your fifth fth yeah and uh I'm not sure I'll write another one really you sometimes people write their first book and like Margaret Mitchell wrote go on with a wind she wrote another one because it was just got writers block afterward so you have writers block do you think after this oh I hate to write okay all right it was it was a real effort for me to write this so um Donald Trump has imp has some Tech U people working for him I guess now you may know some of them um is his Tech policy going to be a lot different than the Biden Tech policy would you say he appears to have can or in the process of canceling all of the Trump all the Biden orders um and my own opinion is that they will reemerge in a China strategy because the issues around NASA security are not tied to any particular Administration um the Trump Administration followed by the Biden Administration did a very good job in terms of Hardware controls export controls but not enough the second Trump Administration will have to deal with this question of Chinese thing my own view is there you know president Trump is apparently a dealmaker there's a deal to be made and here's the deal the big companies are desperate for energy and permitting access and so forth and so on they have plenty of money plenty of capital plenty of investor support the government is completely ignorant about the things that we're talking about and it's horrible and they they want to learn but they don't have the software people they don't have the the young people they don't have the access and so a deal where the Trump Administration manages to get voluntary access to National Security from these companies in return for voluntary access to huge energy that's a good deal for everybody okay um it says here I've been seeing more and more about is it AGI or ag2 AGI do what ai ai ai what is how close are we to it being here [44:59] what is it artificial general intelligence oh General okay yeah I mean my view is you know this stuff went through a period where we started with machine learning that was trying to train the machines to kind of do one thing that wasn't sexy enough so they rebranded it at Ai and that confused people and then the real AI starts to emerge and they have to distinguish it so they add the G so so I'll give you a I'll give you a precise definition the a whole bunch of people did a survey on this and they said that between 6 to 8 years there will be a single computer will be at the 90th percentile or better
